STURGEoNOMIC

STURGEoNOMIC - Genome-based approaches for improvement of aquaculture in two marine sturgeon species: Atlantic sturgeon (Acipenser oxyrinchus) and Beluga (Huso huso)

Project funded by a joint call by the Marine biotechnology ERA-Net and the COFASP (Cooperation in Fisheries, Aquaculture and Seafood Processing)

The laboratory is one of the 4 partners of the STURGEoNOMIC project.

This project will use whole genome approaches for the genetic improvement of two marine aquaculture sturgeon species.

The STURGEoNOMIC project is led by Matthias Stöck (Leibniz-Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries, Germany) with German partner (Manfred Schartl, University of Würzburg), and Romanian partner (Radu Suciu, Danube Delta National Institute).
